Find the PR that broke a batch faster, with fewer CI runs. With Skip Redundant Bisection Tests enabled, Trunk won’t re-test a set of PRs that already failed in the same bisection. It reuses that failure instead.
  • Immediate re-splits. Skipped groups are split and re-tested right away, alongside the rest of the bisection, instead of waiting on the tests ahead of them.
  • Only failures are reused. A cached result never marks a PR as passed. Trunk discards a reused failure if the base changes or the bisection restarts.
  • Opt-in. Turn it on in your queue’s Settings under Batching, through the API, or with Terraform.
If your queue sees many flaky failures, pair this with Anti-flake protection. See Test caching during bisection for details.
