Self-managed Jira users can now track flaky tests where their team already works.

New features

  • Connect Jira Data Center. Add a Jira Data Center connection under Settings → Organization → Ticketing, then pick it as the default for any test collection. Requires Jira Data Center 10.0 or later, reachable over HTTPS from the internet.
  • Create and link tickets. File a ticket for any test from the dashboard, or link an existing one. Descriptions are written in Jira wiki markup, so they render natively.
  • Automatic ticketing. Turn on automatic ticketing to open, reopen, and close tickets as tests change state, using your project’s workflow.
  • Field defaults. Set defaults for text, number, single-select, user, label, and component fields, or require them at ticket creation.
A few things to know:
  • Use a service account. Jira Data Center personal access tokens have no scopes and act as the user who created them. The docs list the exact project permissions needed.
  • Enabled per organization. Contact support@trunk.io to turn it on. To link tickets through the Trunk API, include your site URL so we can allow it.
See the Jira Data Center integration docs for setup and troubleshooting.
